How to setup with TokoVOIP

Quick Info

Join Game: fivem://connect/au1.huskys.network

TokoVOIP is a client-sided TeamSpeak plugin and script that adds an alternative voice chat to FiveM.

It provides better quality audio, as well as much more control.

Here’s a short list of things it does:

• Actual proximity-based audio
• Directional audio
• Radio system with channels for government agencies, criminals and the public
• Phone calls
• Radio sound effects
• Radio clicks

Why TokoVOIP over normal voice?

• When adjusting FiveM Voice's "shouting, talking & whispering" it only adjusts your receiving distance, and not your actual transmitting distance.
• Sound is a lot clearer & can be adjusted easier

How to Install TeamSpeak

1. Download TeamSpeak here: https://www.teamspeak.com/en/downloads/
2. Install Teamspeak

How to Install TokoVOIP

1. Download the tokovoip_X_X_X.ts3_plugin from here: https://github.com/Itokoyamato/TokoVOIP_TS3/releases
2. Install the downloaded ts3_plugin, it will prompt you to install it into Teamspeak.
3. Restart Teamspeak once installed.
4. If installed correctly, under the Plugins menu you should now see "TokoVoip"

Connecting to TokoVOIP

1. Open Teamspeak 3
2. Connect to our Teamspeak server: (Removed)
3. Connect to the "Welcome Lobby (TokoVoIP Waiting Room)" channel.
4. That's it. The message should now disappear. Have fun!

Connecting to the FiveM Server

Troubleshooting

Q: I receive an error "Api version is not compatible"

A: Update your TeamSpeak 3 & Enable the "TokoVOIP" Plugin

Q: When I try to install the plugin, TeamSpeak 3 opens, but does not install the plugin.

A: Run C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\createfileassoc.exe then try to run the .ts3_plugin file again.

Quick Questions

Q: My microphone is always transmitting.
A: Setup a hotkey to set push to talk on TeamSpeak.

Q: Do we have to download & use TeamSpeak?
A: Yes, it is a requirement as it provides much better sound quality, easier troubleshooting (no more Settings menu) and realistic voice distance.

Q: My voice is not transmitting in game.
A: Setup a hotkey to set push to talk on TeamSpeak.

Q: How do I transmit on the radio?
A: The default radio transmit is [CAPSLOCK]

How to Install Kimmi Visuals/Shaders

Kimmi Visuals makes your game look better. I guess. People keep asking me for this.

I don't know what this does to performance, but I haven't noticed it severely degrade performance.

I personally like this one because it's a nice balance between game and real visuals.

Instructions

1. Close your game.
2. Download the attached Kimmi Visuals 2104902437_KimmiVisualsV2.zip
3. Navigate to your C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app
4. Take a backup of the "citizen" folder, save it somewhere.
5. Delete the "citizen" folder (don't delete the backup you just made).
6. Delete "caches.xml" (only the file, not the cache folder).
7. Place the new "citizen" folder from the zip into the current folder.
8. Done. Open your game to a new visuals.

Purchase GTA V

You will need a legal copy of Grand Theft Auto: V for PC in order to play. A Google Search will help with this.

Download FiveM

If you're completely new to FiveM, you'll need to download the FiveM client. You can get this from https://fivem.net and selecting Download client.

Connecting to LSRP

Once you have downloaded the FiveM client, you'll need to connect to our server. There are a few ways you can connect.

1. Quick Connect: Simply click here to quick connect.
2. Direct Connect: Open FiveM, and press [key]F8[/key] to bring up the console, then type au1.huskys.network
3. Server List: Open FiveM, click on Servers and search for 'Aussie Roleplay', click on Husky's Aussie Roleplay, add us to your favorites and then click Connect.

It may take some time to connect to the server while it downloads our custom content.

Creating Your Character

When you first load in, you will have the option of creating a character, you will need to enter their name, select their gender, nationality and date of birth.

Once created, you'll choose your starting apartments, this is where you can come at any time to store your items, change clothing and switch characters.

You'll then be given the character creation menu where you can fully customise your character. Keep in mind if you choose NPC models, you will be extremely limited to clothing options to that model.

If your arms are clipping: check your arms, there are different types of gloves and arms which go with certain clothes.
If your shirt/torso is clipping: check your T-Shirt & Jacket combinations match.

Once you are satisfied, you can Confirm your character and begin playing.

Money

After creating your character and spawning in you will be given $60,000 as a starter cash this is for personal use and you may spend it on what ever you desire

Please keep in mind do not make multiple characters to get this cash and then give it to someone else so they have more money as it ruins our economy.

To buy most stuff you would need money on hand so what you will need to go to a bank and withdraw money, however don't take it all out as you want to be wise with how you spend it.

You can also get an debit card

Dirty Money/Black Money/Marked Bills

Dirty Money is obtained by committing illegal crimes which get you quick money but you will need to wash this first to avoid law enforcement attention. Dirty Money can be cleaned at the Launder Lady which is the greenish letter L on your map you will go to her and select the amount of money to be cleaned she will give you a location and you will take the dirty money to client and they will give you clean money keep in mind if you do $6000 dirty money you may only get around $4000 - $5000 back as it takes a percentage.

Licenses

In Huskys Los Santos Roleplay we have licenses for most stuff such as vehicles, guns etc. To get a car license you would need to go the DMV which is a white suit case located in Los Santos on your map. You will need to pass the theory test and then take a practical driving test. You will be given 5 mistakes if you make 5 or more you will fail. This goes for the same as motorbike and others. The driving test itself is about 5-7 minutes long. To get a gun license you will need to go to the police station in mission row you will need to bring with you ID and also have no priors of any bad criminal acts. Once you have been seen by a officer you will need to show ID and they will run your name through the system after once they have done if you come back clean you will be issued with a gun license.

Jobs

In Huskys Los Santos Roleplay we offer a wide range of jobs which can be found at the Job Center once you get there you can pick from multiple options such as Mechanic, Miner, Bus driver and more. You will get paid by doing the jobs and completing tasks for more information visit the job information page about the jobs you selected.

Vehicles

We have a lot of vehicles that is for sale at the Car Dealership if you would like to buy a car keep in mind you will need cash on hand and enough cash on hand for the car. Once you select the car you like and buy it you will then be able to upgrade it so it fits your purposes and so you can make it into what you like you will need to either go to Benny's or a Los Santos Customs.

Donator Vehicles

This dealership is located at postal 7175, on the corner of Morningwood Blvd and Boulevard Del Perro. The Dealership is called PDM Imports and hosts vehicles such as; the Corvette c7, the Nissan Skyline and the Subaru Legacy. These vehicles are reserved for donators only (patreon subscribers).

Super/Hyper Cars

This dealership (Luxury vehicle Shop) is located at postal 7081, on the corner of Spanish Ave and Las Lagunas Blvd. This vehicle shop features many high end cars such as; the Nero (Bugatti), the Itali RSX. the Itali GTB and the Adder (Bugatti). Of course, there are many, many more super cars in this dealership. Note. this dealership is extremely expensive, with most cars being 200k +

Mid Tier/Variety Vehicles

Located on the corner of Adams Apple Blvd and Power St. Postal 8167. PDM is the dealership of which many different types of cars can be found here. Ranging from Sports Classics, to Modern to "Sports" vehicles. This is the place that most people come to to purchase their first vehicle.

Off Road Vehicles

There are to separate dealerships for these vehicles. One of them being up in Sandy Shores, Postal 3003. This dealership is called Off Roads Dealer. The second Dealership is in City, located at 9092, Mosleys Auto Dealer.

Car Depot

This is where your vehicle will go if you leave it out and fly out. The Depot is located at Postal 9055, next to MRPD

Boats

If you are interested in Boats, the place to buy them from is Postal 8239, off of Tackle Street. The Boat Depot is located just across from there, at 8241.

How To: Setup ShareX to Automatically Upload & Copy URL

What is ShareX?

ShareX is a free and open source program that lets you capture or record any area of your screen and share it with a single press of a key. It also allows uploading images, text or other types of files to many supported destinations you can choose from.

Download ShareX

You can download ShareX from the official website here: https://getsharex.com/

Setup ShareX to Automatically Upload to Imgur & Copy the URL

Once you have downloaded and installed ShareX, follow these steps:

1. Open ShareX and select Hotkey settings...
   
    
2. When the Hotkey settings window pops up, select Add...
3. Enter & Select the following settings for the task section as follows:
   • Task: Capture region
   • Description: Capture region for Imgur
   • [TICK] Override after capture settings
   • After capture: Save image to file, Upload image to host
   • [TICK] Override after upload settings
   • After upload: Copy URL to clipboard
   • [TICK] Override destinations
   • Destinations: Image Uploader -> Imgur
   • Ignore the other fields (including the one where mine says cPanel)
4. Your task settings should look like this when you're finished.
   
    
5. Close that window, and back at the Hotkey settings window.
6. Click in the box to the right of your newly created hotkey where it says None.
   • Press the key combination you would like to use. I recommend 'Alt + Scroll Lock' - this is so it doesn't interfer with any other hotkeys. But it's your choice.
7. Click the white or red box, so it shows up Green. The final result should look like this.
   
    
8. Test taking a screenshot with your set hotkey. It should prompt you to select the range, then it'll take a screenshot, upload and copy the link for you to paste.
   For evidence and roleplay scenes, the more you capture the better.

(Optional) Register & setup a free Imgur account

This is optional but recommended if you want to manage your images later:

1. Visit https://imgur.com/ and click Sign up.
2. Follow the steps to register a free account.
3. Open ShareX and navigate to Destinations, and select Destination settings...
   
    
4. Select Imgur from the side menu.
5. Change the Account type to User.
6. Click Connect... and follow the steps provided.
7. Test taking a screenshot with your set hotkey. It should automatically take the screenshot, upload and copy the link for you to paste.
8. Visit https://imgur.com/ and view your profile, you should be able to see your previous posts.

Group Retention Guide

This guide is aimed for leaders & bosses in roleplay.
The term 'group' here means organisation, club, gang, business, etc.

Introduction

Why do I play? What do I enjoy about the experience? What frustrates me?

These are the questions on the minds of players regarding the time they spend playing. You want your members to have a positive, supportive and inclusive experience no matter what their role or level of commitment.

It is important to recognise that each player has a set of expectations about their playing experience. These expectations are continually being challenged and altered as a player gains more experience and spends more time.

Players leave for a variety of reasons. Some are out of control, but others have occurred due a combination of certain experiences which have resulted in the player feeling like they have no choice but to leave.

By asking about and understanding your member's experiences on an ongoing basis, you are more likely to better manage problems as they arise and make sure a supportive and inclusive environment exists within your group or organisation, which will assist with player satisfaction and retention over the longer term.

The following guide will provide leaders with information, tips and advise regarding different retention ideas and programs that might suit your group and players.

Reasons why players leave

Players leave for various reasons, including:

• time demands (such as work, family and personal commitments)
• training demands
• negative issues (such as tension between players)
• authoritarian leadership (such as favourtism and feeling excluded)
• new interests or new games
• age

Your current group status

Work out the current position your group is in before trying any retention strategies.

Ask yourself the following simple questions:

• Do you have a member retention issue?
• Is it a member participation issue?
• How many players have left in the last month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months?
• Is there a common point where players leave in their time of service (for example, 1 week, 1 month, 6 months)?
• Is there a common demographic that leaves (for example, young people, women)?
• Does your group learn or know the reasons why people leave (for example, via exit interviews or informal discussions)?

Possible Retention Ideas

Retention can fall into many different areas. The sections below will give you some ideas about the key areas of consideration and what you may be able to put in place within your own group.

1. Teamwork and participation

The benefits of a well performing team and healthy internal relationships between players are essential for player satisfaction and retention. Some of the most common reasons why people leave are due to clashes with other players and/or negativity and tension within the server.

Healthy participation allows all members to be involved in a range of activities including social, training and other events.

Ideas include:

• Combine basic and fun teambuilding activities with training nights: these do not have to be business-related (e.g. police), just activities that get players working together and building team relationships
• Plan at least one social event per month
• Try a social competion or training sessions with another group, such as races, or training with different departments
• Have informal catchups, such as movie nights, social groups with other games such as Minecraft
• Develop an interesting training program: this is particularlly important if activity is low and the group does not get together regularly

There is no reason a group cannot function like any other group by meeting once a month for catchups.

2. Leadership

Leadership is a key element of people management.

This deals with all aspects of motivation, communication, interpersonal skills, teamwork and group dynamics.

Leaders need to have an awareness of their own leadership style and understand the impact it has on their team environment.

Leaders need to rise above internal group tensions, favourtism, personality clashes and other issues which may be causing discomfort for certain players or affecting group functioning. They need to lead the group in a fair and non-judgemental way.

Ideas include:

• Encourage leadership opportunities for players, such as planning events or programs for your group, or stepping up into a higher position and taking on a role while someone is away.
• Conducting debriefing sessions after scenes to provide learning opportunities.
• Encourage players to provide honest and constructive feedback on leaders. This can be eye-opening and provide a crucial understanding for leaders about how they are perceived and if there are any areas they need to work on to enhance their leadership skills. This can be undertaken by anonymous means and analysed by the leadership or command team.
• Encourage players to seek training opportunities and ways to better their roleplay.

3. Mentoring and buddy systems, and player inductions

The mentoring and buddy system are well-known and successful approaches to allow effective integration of new people into an existing group or existing players into a new role.

A new player gains the benefit of learning from an experienced player and building relationships with a number of other players.

Induction and orientation also allow a new player to feel part of the group and ensure they understand the group on a broader level. The player will understand what is expected of them, their role and make them feel comfortable in a group environment.

4. Player communication

The ways your group communicates and provides information are an important part of keeping the group connected internally and to the community. A communication plan is a retention tool in itself as your players are being engaged and kept in the loop with key information and updates.

Ideas include:

• Use a range of different methods to reach most players (e.g. Discord, Forums).
• Have particular players who are responsible for sending out certain types of information (such as meeting minutes, newsletter, updates, Lifegator, tweets, advertisements).
• Always display information on your Discord.
• Consider creating a club on the forums.

5. Player recognition

Recognition is important for the individual, the server and the community. Recognition encourages continued growth, involvement and development. It falls into two main categories:

• Celebration and appreciation of your group in the community.
• Appreciation of individual players.

Ideas include:

• Celebrate achievements of the group and the individual.
• Introduce a rewards scheme for achieving certain levels or tasks within the group.
• Discounts on services and goods arranged through other groups or yours.
• Get well, birthday and holiday cards to players.
• A thank you to individuals from the leader/boss in public.
• Acknowledge player's joining anniversaries.
• Organise service awards for players.
• Regularely promote players' work.
• Highlight experienced players as Seniors: this provides recognition for their experience and knowledge and a go-to point for less experienced players needing assistance.

6. Community involvement

Maintaining a good connection between your group and the community is closely linked with sustainability. Your group's community profile and involvement has many benefits to the general functioning of your group, including the opportunity to tap into local resources, gain support and recruit new members.

Ideas include:

• Start small so it's not too demanding of members' time.
• Plan a calendar of events the group can be involved in and put it on display (use the Forums or Discord).
• Place it on an agenda to discuss at your group meetiongs os it becomes part of your group's core business.
• Appoint a player to coordinate community involvement or recruit someone from the community to undertake this role: you could ask friends of current members.
• Market and promote your group's work in the community: when people can see, hear and read about what is involved in a group's work, percention change, which has a domino effect on other group issues such as recruitment, retention and attracting further support.

How to manage stress

What is stress?

Stress is caused by "stressful situations", this will impact your view & movement by making you "jittery" (screen shake & uncontrollable spasms/movements).

What causes stress?

• Holding a weapon (except melee)
• Shooting a weapon
• Aiming melee , hitting with melee or getting hit by melee
• Low health
• Skydiving
• Lurking/crouching/stealthing around

Note: LEO characters will receive stress at half the rate.

How to reduce stress

• Staying still
• Walking
• Sleeping
• Eating & Drinking

How To: Enable FiveM (beta) streaming progress

Enabling the streaming progress can be useful to let you know when something is downloading, whether custom models, vehicles or in-world assets.

How to Enable

To enable this, open FiveM and go to the start screen.

Click 'Settings' and then tick the box for 'Streaming Progress'.

Once done, in game you will see this in the bottom right corner whenever you are streaming/downloading new assets.

Useful Roleplay Terminology

Clearing your FiveM Cache

1. Open your "FiveM Application Data" folder (typically located C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app)
   • If you can't find it, you can try right clicking your 'FiveM Desktop Icon' and select "Open File Location".
     
      
2. Open the "Cache" folder
   
    
3. Delete all files and folders in the Cache folder EXCEPT FOR THE GAME FOLDER
   
    
4. Relaunch FiveM and reconnect to the server.

Troubleshooting 

• FiveM isn't starting now
  • Retry the application.
  • If you're still unable to open FiveM, reinstall FiveM from the official website.
• It's taking forever to reconnect to the server
  • It may take an extra amount of time as the you will be redownloading the server files.
  • If it's taking more than 5-10 minutes, please reconnect.
• Do I have to download everything again?
  • Yes, unfortunately you will need to download a fresh copy of the server files.

How to Fix Emergency Lights Brightness

Custom Visuals is a partial graphics overhaul that makes your game look much more realistic; from police lights to clouds! This Mod increases the ambience of all lighting in the game, makes rain, cloud movement, shadows, and sunlight more realistic, makes motion blur more tolerable, and makes coronas more vibrant and lifelike. This Mod also adds environmental lighting to vehicles, especially emergency lights. You also now have the option to have all blue, all red, and all amber lighting! There are many more things to list, but I just recommend trying it out. After all, it's only two files, not twenty.

(Required) Install Custom Visuals

1. Download the latest "Custom Visuals" from the LSPDFR page: https://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/12499-custom-visuals/
2. Extract the .zip to your desktop. Note: We're only interested in the "Custom Visuals v.X.X.X" folder.
3. Open your "FiveM Application Data" folder (typically located C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\FiveM\FiveM.app)
4. Put the following files in the following folders:
   1. Move the "carcols.ymt" from the "ELS-style custom lighting (CARCOLS.YMT)" folder into the "FiveM Application Data\citizen\platform\data" folder.
   2. Move the "visualsettings.dat"  from the "Bright setting (VISUALSETTINGS.DAT)" folder into the "FiveM Application Data\citizen\common\data" folder.
5. Restart your FiveM game.

Troubleshooting

• The lighting hasn't changed.
  • Check you've put the files into the right folders as above.
  • In your game settings, set your Post FX above High.
• The lighting isn't bright enough.
  • Follow Step 4.2. again, but use the Brighter setting instead.

General

• /admin - Shows what admin level you are and what group you're in
• /announce <message> - Sends an announcement to the entire server

Administration

• /car <model> - Spawn and enter the specified vehicle
• /cardel - Deletes the current vehicle
• /clearinventory <player id> - Clear all items from inventory
• /clearloadout <player id> - Remove all weapons from loadout
• /dv - Deletes the current vehicle
• /heal [player id] - Heal a player, or yourself (restores thirst, hunder and health)

Moderation

• /bring <player id> - Teleport a player to you
• /clearall - Clears the chatbox for everyone
• /freeze <player id> - Freeze or unfreeze a user
• /kick <user id> [reason] - Kick a user with the specified reason or no reason
• /revive <player id> - Revive a player by ID

Weather & Time

• /blackout - Toggles blackout mode (disables all lighting)
• /evening - Set the time to 18:00
• /freezetime - Toggle freezing time
• /freezeweather - Toggle dynamic weather changes
• /weather <weather type> - Change the weather to a set weather type. (Options: extrasunny, clear, neutral,m smog, foggy, overcast, clouds, clearing, rain, thunder, snow, blizzard, snowlight, xmas, halloween)
• /morning - Set the time to 09:00
• /noon - Set the time to 12:00
• /night - Set the time to 23:00
